Fitness: Nutrition: The top 15 superfoods/toppings

Hello wonderful jellybeans!

As far as I noticed on my Instagram page, many of you are interested in the superfoods and toppings I use on my dishes. Oatmeal is by far my most favourite option to go with them but I integrate several of these into my savory foods, treats, yogurt and salads frequently. There is a long list of seeds and further ingredients characterized as "superfoods", however, today I will share with you those I use almost everyday along with some ideas to incorporate them in your diet.

Extra tip: the honey i use (on the left) is a special variety of Orange Honey.
It has a wonderful orange scent and flavor.


   Coconut

✴      Linseed/Flaxseed

   Goji berries
   Oats
   Raisins
   Crushed raw unsalted almonds
   Honey
   Tahini

   Carob 
   Peanut butter
   Avocado
   Chia seeds
   Berries

Let's count how many are we
As you noticed, some foods of the list are pretty popular and well-known whereas others are almost unknown to the average person (ex. carob). 
For that purpose, except of the pictures displaying each one, I added a hyper link with additional information for each super food.

 By clicking on the name of each food, you will be redirected to a page where you can find out the nutritional value, benefits and functions. Of course there are a lot more, but these stated above are my personal top 15. It is important to pick those you like to consume on a daily basis (flavor, texture, compatibility with your diet etc) in order to gain the maximum benefit through regular consumption.


Whether your goal is to shred off some body fat or simply nourish your body and construct the best health state you have ever been into, frequent consumption of super foods (especially in combination and variety) will only offer you a ton of benefits. Improvement of digestion, sleep and mood, decrease of cholesterol and blood sugar, metabolism regulation, protection against cancer and heart diseases, reduction of body/inner organ fat and inflammation and of course detoxification are only a few of them. You may have additional health benefits depending on the individual properties of each super food.

So, up to this point, you found out my top 15, you might also learnt new things about these foods through the hyperlinks but here lays the most important question: How to integrate all these into your daily nutrition to get the most out of the super foods? 

Using them as a topping is the most obvious way, but you can also use them as an ingredient into your food, cakes, smoothies, omelettes, bread dough, soup, pasta sauce etc. Below, I present some examples of how I personally use these foods into my diet.
