Generally speaking, this debate has been on since the invention of machines, however, people tend to be quite biased about it and hence provide information selectively. Consequently the audience gets polarised either for or against, without really understanding why.


Let's get a few facts down:
✅Free weights activate more muscles than machines do. Why?
✅Because the range of motion isn't fixed and there is also a need to stabilize yourself.
✅ Therefore, free weights work more muscles, burn more calories and promote functional fitness.
✅Free weights allow a lot of room for variations and combo exercises, hence contributing to better mobility and functionality.


☑️On the other hand, machines are considered safer because the posture and range of motion are fixed.
☑️Machine lifting work is typically easier than the equivalent load on free weights so:
